About

Grew Up Green is a garden design and maintenance company co-founded by lifelong Pacific Northwest residents Heather McKinney and Amanda Conner.
Our love of the outdoors and nature goes far beyond the garden. When we’re not working with plants, you’ll find us skiing, rock climbing, kayaking, backpacking, and exploring everything the Pacific Northwest has to offer.
We met while studying Horticulture at Edmonds Community College. After completing the program, we decided to combine our education, experience, and shared passion for plants by starting our own business in 2014. What began as a shared idea has grown into a business we’re proud to have built together.
Our horticultural education and years of hands-on experience have given us a strong foundation in thoughtful, sustainable garden care. Our expertise includes proper pruning, plant identification and disease management, container design and installation, native habitat restoration, landscape design, and seasonal garden maintenance.
We believe a beautiful landscape should be more than just something to look at, it should be a healthy, thriving part of the environment around it. We focus on creating and caring for gardens that support healthy soil, clean air and water, and diverse ecosystems, while giving plants the conditions they need to truly thrive.
We love what we do, we love where we live, and we love creating gardens that bring those two things together.
